about

This is the only one not recorded live in the sunporch. It was taped in one wasted night in Oneonta, NY

lyrics

You wouldn't talk or turn, and I don't blame you.
The subpar Woodstock stories the old driver told,
Gave excuse to unease, and hands on our knees.

We stumbled home, ignoring the crowds and the moon.
You kicked me out I got pissed and I puked on your shoes.
Stacked up my cans, emptied out yours,
The mornin'll clean us up.

These pulls we surrender to block out the flaws in our plans,
Clear eyes and full hearts don't always go hand in hand.
My memories hazy but lately I think I recall,
That the sweetness we had, wasn't too sweet after all.

Late August moon, lit up that lawn as I left.
I breathe in hot air, mixed with the sting in my chest.
Laughed to myself, and like a fool I thought,
I'd actually see you again.

These pulls we surrender to block out the flaws in our plans,
Clear eyes and full hearts don't always go hand in hand.
My memories hazy but lately I think I recall,
That the sweetness we had, wasn't too sweet after all.
